Bloom's Taxonomy

This is a Bloom's Taxonomy pyramid. Educators use this pyramid to aid them when creating lessons. The goal is for the teacher to create engaging lessons that eventually bring students to the highest level of thinking, which is the top of the pyramid.

Action Words for Bloom's Taxonomy

This is a chart of action words that deal with Bloom's Taxonomy. When teachers create their lesson plans they use some of these action words to elicit thinking and engagement. You will often see these words in worksheets or prompts as well.

UbD (Understanding by Design) Lesson Plan Template

This is a UbD (Understanding by Design) lesson plan template. Teachers use this template to create engaging lessons that get students to the highest level of the Bloom's Taxonomy pyramid.

Welcome to My Classroom Sheet

This isĀ a "Welcome to My Classroom" Sheet. Teachers usually hand out a sheet like this to students on the first day of classes. This provides the students with an idea of what the teacher expects from them. I created this sheet in one of my education courses at Bridgewater.

Mini Lesson

This is a short, eight minute lesson that I created in one of my courses here at Bridgewater. This lesson is meant to aid ELL students and my goal was to keepĀ students engaged when referring to important parts of "Romeo & Juliet."

SEI Unit on Persuasive Writing (Lesson 1/ Tiered Lesson)

This is one lesson I created in one of my courses here at Bridgewater. This lesson was created using an SEI Template, which is used for a class with some ELL students and some fluent English speaking students. This lesson is significant because it was also tiered, which caters to all different types of students with different abilities.

SEI Unit on Persuasive Writing (Lesson 2)

This is another lesson that I created here at Bridgewater. This lesson also uses the SEI Template, but is not tiered.
