Windshield Tour paper of Dorchester, MA. Researchers examine the social determinants (ex: economy, access to health care, housing) and the connection to public health issues the community is struggling with. Tackling health issues in a community starts with a "windshield tour". A windshield tour is when the researchers go to the city and observes the people and environment. It is called windshield because you can observe while in a car. These observations are crucial to researching an issue such as hunger.
